Asa Colvert, born in 1775 was married to Sarah Hudson (not Fairfax, if we are researching the same ancestor) He was born in MD and died in 1861 in Marion County, MO. They had several children, among them, Washing Lanty Colvert, who is my direct ancestory on my father's side. I am looking for the ancestor who changed the family name from Calvert to Colvert, and I believe it may have been Asa.
