Looking for information on Beulah Fairfax who married William F. Carter on 8 Aug. 1897. They had 1 child Gilbert Frances Carter who was born on 27 March 1899 and died 3 Dec. 1930.

I am also looking for info on Hezekiah. His daughter, Nancy (b 1778) was married to Joseph Crouch (1774-1856). Their son, Elias (1837-1908) was my husband's great grandfather.

According to info I found, Hezekiah was a loyalist; however, he and his brother John worked for George Washington.

Hezekiah Fairfax, born 1745 in Md. and died 1840 in Va.

Looking for info/help with Hezekiah. He was married to an Anne Mills around 1775 and then to a Margaret Calvert about 1800. If my info is correct, he was born in Maryland and died in Prince Willian County, Va. He had a son Thompson Fairfax, born 1808, married a Nancy Sanders. Their son Addison Fairfax, born 1844, married to Mary Jane Davis.

I am Paul Fairfax Evans, 61
My mother, Margaret Jalena Fairfax Evans, is 91.
We are black Fairfaxes who live in Baltimore.
We are looking for relatives of Pennsylvania connection
(Marietta, PA) who escaped from slavery from Fairfax County, VA before the Civil War (allegedly with Harriet Tubman) and
fled to Marietta, PA I think.
My great grandfather was a barber (Joseph Fairfax) who shaved General Grant when he visited Marietta.

I am writing in regards to your post about the Fairfax's of Monmouth County. From what I know my aunt "Dot" Dorthy was born in 1909 to Rosa (Morris) and Alex Fairfax. She had a brother named Jacque (could have changed his name from Jack) Fairfax and a sister Frieda. Jacque Fairfax was my grandfather and they all were from and lived in Belmar, NJ. I am looking to trace my roots back as far possible. So if you have any information it would be greatly appreciated.

Catherine Zimmermann-Mulgrave, the third person from the left, was a survivor of a slave voyage from Africa. She sailed in the slave vessel "Heroina". In 1833, the "Heroina" embarked slaves in Angola, on the West-Central African coast, and set sail to Cuba, but wrecked off the coast of Jamaica. She escaped from the wreck, along with other slaves, and received the western name of Catherine Mulgrave after the Governor of Jamaica at the time, the Earl of Mulgrave. The image shows a picture of the Zimmermann-Mulgrave family made in an unknown studio. Catherine married Mr. Johannes Zimmermann in 1851, after divorcing Mr. Georg Peter Thompson, in 1849, with whom she had two children, Rosie and Georg Thompson. Copies of this image picture is held by the archives of mission 21, Basel, Switzerland, and by the archives of the city of Gerlingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Ethel Clarke was the daughter of stage actors Creston Clarke (1865-1910) and Adelaide Prince, born 1864 in England.

Hello, i have started to research my great grandmothers side of the family and i really need some help. My g.g.grandmother was WINIFRED EMILE FAIRFAX prior to marrying my g.g.grandfather CLARENCE BISS. Winfred then went on to have four children BARBARA MAE BISS, GRENVILLE WEBSTER FAIRFAX BISS, PAULINE BISS and MICHAEL CLIVE BISS. I have no other information on winifred and would be really greatful if anyone thinks they have her in their tree or has some useful information for me as i have no starting point. She lived in the LONDON area, however she was POSSIBLY born in France. She was known as WIN, even to my grandmother who was her grandaughter!

Henrietta Fairfax was the daughter of Hezekiah Fairfax and Anne Mills. Hezekiah was son of William Fairfax and Benedicta Blancett. Henrietta married Robert West. Their daughter Nancy married James Evans. Their son Robert West Evans married Matilda Ellen Henderson, and they had James Hiram Evans, who was my grandfather.
