I have a corn stock pipe, and a pair of sheep fur gloves made and used by henry fajen, i live in knob noster, am related to him, and am only about 25 miles from Cole Camp, and my Grandpa Richard Krull,(who's wife was Charlene Fajen from cole camp) used to work in his son's gunstock factory in cole camp

Im not sure i have been looking into this. I do know his name was Henry George Fajen he was from NY his Father was Henry Ludolph Fajen. I havent been able to find out wether this was him . Would love to know more if you have any info. Also I would love to see a picture of the painting. I know my Grandmother was a artist and my Father also has artistic quality's. myturn2day2@yahoo.com

No Pat NY was not wrong! We have found our father and NY was right. He has 3 brothers in NY. and his dad did also reside in NY. Thanks for the info and trying to help though.

WAS YOUR GRANDFATHER AN ARTIST!!!!!!!! I HAVE A PAINTING BY HENRY FAJEN AND WOULD LOVE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HIM. I UNDERSTAND HE DIED IN A MENTAL INSTITUTION IN MIDDLETOWN, NEW YORK AROUND THE MID 1940'S. HOPE THIS HELPS.

I have some info on the two brothers that settled in SC. At least 1 of the two went to Missouri, of which I am a decendent. Incidently, my middle name is not Alan, but I have a couple of stories about this rascal.

My Grand father is Henry George Fajen can you please help me find my family tree? Any info on that line and back. I have some info on his son and his sons children. I am a Fajen on the east coast I have been researching any family i may have. I have recentley found my father who has confirmed that my grandfather was a Henry George Fajen from NY. If you are searching for Michael Alan Fajen born in Dec of 1946 or 1947. He is in Airway Heights Correction Center. Airway Heights WA. I am his daughter Robin. I believe he has several 1/2 brothers. I know he has 1 sister named Judy. His first wife was Rose. I have a brother Michael and a sister Kelly. I also have 2 half brothers Joey and Justin and 1 step brother Chris. This Mike was in vietnam and has live in Ill. Utah. his second wife was Josephine. His third wife Sonja. I hope this is of some help to anyone searching as hard as I was. I am a Fajen on the East coast. Im not sure I understand your comment about no close relationship to east coast Fajen's. Do they not want any contact? or do they mean they don't have contact? I personally would love to talk to any one who might be related to me throug my father.Mike Fajen. I haven't been able to find him and haven't seen him since I was 10yr'sold (1980). My mother has passed away 4 years ago I don't know if he is still alive or dead I feel verry alone because of this. I do know his birthday is in DEC.and he would be close to 60 now. I am part of Fayen family in New Zealand. We have just found out about gt gt grandfather Hermann Fajen born 16th August 1831 in Sottrum to father Claus Fajen and Margarethe Henke. Is this any connection to your Harm Fajen.

Hi Justin, It is your sister Robin.I see you are still searching for our dad. Me too. Have you gotten any more info? I got some but it lead me to another dead end. The info I got was from Intellious.com I am pretty sure it is him but the add and phone number came up to be a mentalhealth faciliaty. I have a folder on Henry Fajen. My great-grandmother was a Henrietta Fajen by her second husband a Henry Fajen. This Henry Fajen the artist was not her husband but could have been her nephew and geographically it is all possible. My email is fajen@berk.com. Please email me and we can exchange aDDRESSES. I will mail you what I have on this Henry. I have found that many ( not all) of the Fajens I have contacted in do not want to claim any close relationship with east coast Fajen's BUT I feel there is a cousin relationship maybe way back some type of estrangement. They did come from an area in northern Germany called Sottrum. I hope to hear from you.

I am also looking for information about this man.

My father worked at the Middletown State Hospital and at his retirement dinner around 1980 was given a painting signed Henry Fajen dated 1934.

This painter had an excellent understanding of perspective, proportion and color.

I look at this painting on my wall and sense there is a wonderful story behind it.

I am a part of the FAYEN family of New Zealand. Marriage of Hermann in London signed as FAJEN, son of Claus ( a sugar baker of London) Hermann said to be born in Hannover date from birthday book 16 Sugaust 1831. Shipping records to NZ reocrd the family name as FOIGEN and newspaper report of arrival as FAGEN. Maybe there is a connection? Gail Collingwood nee FAYEN

Researching these FAJEN or FAGEN siblings: Herman P. Fajen, born @1820; August Claus Fajen, born @1831; Johann Hinrich Fajen, born @1833; Meta Catherine Fajen (m. Shultz then Huskamp), born 1839; Margarethe Fajen, m. Marzyck, born 1844. All born in Germany, possibly Hannover. All lived in Walhalla, South Carolina, in at least 1860. August Claus and Johann Hinrich moved to Missouri by 1870. Want any and all information about these folks, including parentage, children, etc. Margarethe is my great-great-grandmother. Thanks.

My Grand father, John Henry Fajen(born 1861) moved to Palmer Ks in 1884 from Cole Camp MO. His father was August Claus Fajen, who came from Walhalla SC where several Fajens settled from 1832 to 1849 coming from Ottersberg, Germany. Claus had a brother named Henry that I do not have information about. Suggest you check records of Walhalla SC and surrounding areas.

if u r the justin, son of Mike Fajen, that i think u r ...the NY line is the wrong one....your father was from Illinois, his dad was in Texas, he had one sister......if your mother is Josephine and lives or lived in Utah....is she still alive?

if this is for the Mike Fajen that lived in Rockford, Illinois on Court St., and Ridgeway....I would like to know more bout him too.....I knew him from when we were l2 to about 27...
i know he had a son Michael, and daughters Robin(i think) and Kelly, and several 'others...
anyway, just a friendly note thinking i might make contact with 'an old friend'...
