Mary/Abram Fake - contested probate in New York

Classification: Query
Surnames: Fake, Harlow, Button
My g-grandmother, Mary Button Harlow, married Abram Fake in 1894. He died in 1896 and one of his sons claimed Mary and Abram were not legally married. She had married Mr Harlow in 1873 and he disappeared, supposedly in the Black Hills, very shortly thereafter. Abram's son claimed he would produce Mr Harlow in court. The newspapers had a great time with headlines such as, "Was it a Fake Marriage?" and "Was Mary a Fakir?". However, after the claim that Mr Harlow would be produced, the newspapers are completely silent.
Are there any of Abram's decendants around who know how this story turned out? I am trying to find out what really happened to my g-grandfather (William Harlow).
