My ancestry began in america in the 1850's i believe, When Adam and Caroline Faler traveled by boat from France to the Port of New Orleans. They were from Alsace-Lorraine. As far as I know, two of their sons fought in the civil war. One died at the battle of shiloh.

My grandfather is Francis Faler. He is a devout Catholic.
