William Andrew Fallert

Birth 13 Aug 1881 in Holbrook, Furnas, Nebraska Death 7 Jan 1951 in Los Angeles, California
Who were William's parents?
I still have not figured out who William Andrew Fallert's parents were, nor why he insisted on claiming Ohio as his bithplace in other records. He did apparently serve in WWI, and was still in the army in 1920.
But being born in Holbrook, Furnas County, Nebraska indicates that he was born where there were two Fallert brothers, Benjamin / Benedict, and Fidel who had immigrated from Germany and travelled to Butler County Ohio, then Illinois, and then Nebraska. (Benjamin larter moved to California.
It is possible that he is from one of the two Fallert families I know of, from a third Fallert brother, or even from a Fallert from the edxtensive Fallert Family in that part of Ohio.

Does anyone know what relation if any, Carl Fallert was to Anton Fallert of Ste Genevieve?
The Carl Fallert I am trying to find out about was born about 1804 in Baden died before the 1860 census. He was married to Magdalen/Mageline born about 1805 in Baden
She is listed: 1850 as Fuller, 1860 as Fallert and 1870 as Fallert in the Censuses of Sainte Genevieve, Ste Genevieve, Missouri.

They were my grandparents. You are looking for the Beck line? Not sure if you are related to Dorothy Beck from Orange Co, Ca. Her husband is a Beck.

I too am descended from Anton Fallert and Regina Oberle. I sent for the "Fallert" Book from the Jour de Fete and have never received it. Is there anything in it before Anton such as his parents in Sasbach Baden?

I just now am seeing your reply. I'm not sure why I haven't looked at this board in such a long time. Anyway, yes those are the Stanley and Helen Fallerts I'm looking for. My interest is primarily in Helen's line because I am researching the Beck family from which she descends.

Hi Lisa. I can't help you with your search for the Krueger family, but I found it interesting that you are a Shaughnessy, as my grandmother was Mabel Irene Shaughnessy and got married to Lawrence George Fallert. We must be relatives somewhere along the line. We were originally from St Louis, MO. My uncle, Norman Fallert did extensive geneological research a few years back and so he may have some information for you. He is located in St Louis still, and I am sure he is in the phone book if you care to follow up with him. Best of luck in your endeavors.

Yes, the book includes info on the ancestors of Anton Fallert. I have correspondence with a cousin who had done some German research on the Fallerts and did note some errors in the informaiton but at least the book provides a great starting point. The same family it would seem in the 1860 Newport, Campbell,Kentucky Census (Anthony appears 24 in the ancestry.com but definately 44 on the image.) Mary Free is listed with the family, Anthony's mother in law?)

I think that I found your Fallert in the 1880 census in Furnas County Nebraska. My great grandfather Fidel Fallert and family were number 80 and "Ken Fallard" and wife Lena are number 81. I suspect they are related, possibly brothers who emigrated in 1859 from Baden to the Butler Ohio area.

My grandmother's sister, Rosa Martin, married Andrew Oberle in 1906. They had the following children: Robert, Elizabeth, Carl Frank, Catherine, Lena, Frances, and Edward. If you have any information on this line, or would like to know more of what I have, I'd like to hear from you.

I am looking for Benedict Fallert b.1850 in Germany. He came to U.S. abt. 1860? Either Ohio or Nebraska. He is my gg grandfather.
Married Magdalena Roesner b.1859 Ohio.
His son Benjamin Fallert b.1883 Nebraska.
I have no info on either Benedict or Magdalena I know Magdalena's mother was Indian but nothing else. Any info would be welcome.

I would love to compare research with you. I have both of the St. Genevieve Fallert books but have found a few errors in each. I descend from Maria (Mary) Fallert, daughter of Anton and Regina Oberle. Mary married George Falk and had several children before he died in Vicksburg during the Civil War. Following his death Mary married August Bachle (Baechle) who had also been previously married. Mary and August as well as some of their children came to Oklahoma shortly after the land run, both are buried here. Please contact me at wwdj1@aol.com

Oberles in Ste Genevieve Co. MO

Although not directly related to your line, one of my gg-father's sister m. Paul Oberle in 1874. According to census records Paul immigrated in 1866 and m. Ellen/Helena Bockenkamp in Ste. Genevieve County.

Have identified 11 of the 12 children born before the 1900; three of those 12 children died before the 1900 census. My guess in Mary and Frank are two of the children, the other probably born 1874-1878. Children include:

Andrew, Dec 1874; Mary, c1877; Frank, c1878; Clara, Aug 1880; Larence, Sep 1882; Paulina, Oct 1883; Fred, Aug 1889; Lizzie, Apr 1892; Leo, Nov 1893; Regine, Sep 1895; Trudy, Sep 1897

Any information would be much appreciated.

FALLERT OF ST.GEN

My Family is from St. Genevieve. In fact my cousins still live on the original Fallert farm there. I also went to the courthouse and went through the marriage books for all the Fallerts to see who married who and when.
I know our family split into two fractions "back when" so I'm trying to find the links. I have been told that it was split over a poker game. One of our g-g-grandparents won a another farm in a poker game. He had two sons and gave the original farm to my ancester and the other to the other son. The other farm was smaller in size and less productive so that son was upset enough to cut all ties with his family over this. I've been wanting to go back there to go through the land records to see who this was. If I find it then I will know where the Family's links are. If I can help or you have info I don't then let me know.
Maybe we could get together and compare notes.
