Gilberts brothers were Amund and Olof, not Gustav. Amund had two children, Tina and Gina. Olof died in an accident. He was not married and did not have any children. Gilbert came to U.S. by himself in 1909. His brothers were already here waiting for him. He had 4 children. Gilerd, Al(Bunny),Doris and Duane, my father. He has 9 grandchildren. Gilbert died in 1975. Do you live in U.S.?

Well, that's interesting. I never thought about a Norwegian connection.

I did happen to see on a map a small town called "Fallinge" in SW Sweden, somewhat inland from the coast.

Thanks for the notes.

I have no specifics on your Grandfathers. However, I know a little about my Grandfather, who was Carl Falling. His father settled in Illinois around 1895. My GRandfather was known as "Swede" Falling. Although my surname is Swedish, it is most commonly thought of as an English name. Does Falling or Fallingen mean anything literally in Swedish?
