I have heard about some of this people. I have a list made in 1988?? I live in Oslo, Norway. I am sorry, that I haven't given an answer before, but everytime I have tried, I have got a message that I can not see this page. Now it is in the middle of the nigt, but I can give you som more information tomorrow.

Gilberts brothers were Amund and Olof, not Gustav. Amund had two children, Tina and Gina. Olof died in an accident. He was not married and did not have any children. Gilbert came to U.S. by himself in 1909. His brothers were already here waiting for him. He had 4 children. Gilerd, Al(Bunny),Doris and Duane, my father.He has 9 grandchildren. Gilbert died in 1975. Do you live in U.S.?

My grandfathers name was Sigurd. I also knew his brother Olaus and Titus. They where 11 brothers!!!

Gustav and Amund were my grandfathers brothers. His name was Gilbert.

Well, that's interesting. I never thought about a Norwegian connection.

I did happen to see on a map a small town called "Fallinge" in SW Sweden, somewhat inland from the coast.

My grandfather was not Swedish, but Norwegian, from Skjåk in Gudbrandsdalen. Falling doesn't mean anything in norwegian nor swedish.

Whoops, grandfather's name was Edward, brothers of Grandfather were Carl and William. Settled in Streator, Illinois, SW of Chicago 90 miles.

I have no specifics on your Grandfathers. However, I know a little about my Grandfather, who was Carl Falling. His father settled in Illinois around 1895. My GRandfather was known as "Swede" Falling. Although my surname is Swedish, it is most commonly thought of as an English name. Does Falling or Fallingen mean anything literally in Swedish?
