Fanny Clara Jarvis was married to James Ira McInelly who died about 1991, Clara would be one of their children. She then subsequently married John Willis Fallis about 1897. I have some information given to me from a descendant of the McInellys (I'm a descendant of the Fallis') and I might be able to put you in touch with her if you'd like.

Sheila, I don't know if your Samuel is who I'm looking for or not. Could you possibly give me some family members, wife & children? If he was married more than once? I'm at a dead end as far as Jeremiah is concerned. Illinois census shows Jeremiah's birth around 1783 or 1786 in VA.
Luther Follis gave me 1805 as his date of birth but that doesn't correspond with the Illinois census that I have.
My gg-grandfather was Silas Follis.

I show Fannie as Fannie Clara Jarvis married December 10, 1897 Escalante, Garfield County, Utah to John Willis Fallis. That's all I know about her. Where did you get McInelly? John was the son of Christina Sutton and Lewis Fallis. I got this from a Fallis researcher, but believe it's also on Ancestry.com

Monta was John Edward Surridge's first wife. Leah was their daughter. Sad story. Dad or Mom said the cord was rapped around her neck just long enough.... Only until about 30 years ago did I even known who she was. That's when my anut would bring her out. Someone had to care for her. I asked, that's how I found out. Zella was that person, in Leah's latter years. I can to tell you more. I'm not sure if I have pictures of her. My sister might. Leah was at her wedding. Or I can ask my Mom.

This is Martha,
I know of John Surridge, Thomas and Julia. Do you know about Monta his first wife and Leah or Leata (?) his daughter. Leah, as I knew her lived a lot with Aunt Zella, Dad's sister. I have a file on this family. My computer went down so now I only have it on paper form. Will share.

Dear Martha,

Good hearing from you.

May Fallis was my great-grandmother. She married John Edward Surridge in 1919 in Wenatchee, Chelan Co. Washington. Their son Jack is my grandfather. Was never sure if they were actually married or not until I came across their marriage licence. I don't know anything about May's family except that they lived in Northern Idaho. It makes it interesting that John was born in Northern Idaho as was May but they were married in Northcentral Washington. Makes me wonder what was going on in their lives at the time. Would be interested in reading your father's notes. Maybe it would give us some new clues for our search.
Thank you for the information Vernon. It is greatly appreciated. Zerphie May was my great-grandmother and I vagely remember her as she passed when I was young. I have always known about the brothers and sisters and have recently found Zerphie's marriage certificate. Other than knowing that they came from Northern Idaho, I don't know much about them.

As near as we've been able to find out, there are at least 2 branches of Fallis in the US. One, which is my late husband's, comes from Thomas Fallis, ca 1678-1755, Virginia, and the other comes from Canada.

To my knowledge no one has researched the Canadian family history. I'd suggest you post another message specifically requesting info on the Canadian Fallis families. We do know several of them lived in Idaho.
