Mary Faloon was born to James and Elizabeth (Stephenson) Faloon

on 28 JUly 1814 in PA. Her parents were born in Ireland. She was married 17 NOV 1835

in Bucyrus, Crawford Co., Ohio to David Holm. She died NOV 1893 in Bement, IL and her body was shipped

back to be buried beside her husband in Marion, Ohio.

OBITUARY: Mary Holm Dead, Bement Reister 9 Nov 1893

Mrs. Mary Holm died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. R. Shook, Tuesday evening, about 8 o'clock, of heart trouble. She had been ailing for several days with cold, but was better Tuesday and had been up a part of the day but on retiring took suddenly worse and died in a few moments. She had been a resident of Bement for the past six years. Her brother, Dr. Faloon of Chicago, is the only surviving member of the family. She was the mother of nine children three daughters and a son, who survive her. Her daughters are Mrs. E. R. Shook, Mrs. Henry Hays of Bement, and Mrs. Jas. Camp of Chanute Kan., and the son Chas. Holm of Troy, Ohio. The remains will be taken to Ohio today, for interment. The friends extend sympathy to the bereaved family. Services will be held at the home at 2:30 this afternoon.

Mrs. Mary Holm died very suddenly Tuesday evening of last week at about 8:30 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. E. B Shook. She had been suffering from a sever cold for several days but was much better, passing the evening with the other members of the family in the sitting room. As she was retiring for the night, she was seized with something like an apoplectic and expired in a few minutes. Her remains were taken to her former home in Troy? Ohio for burial. Her daughter, Mrs. E. H. Shook and Mrs. H. M. Hays accompanied them. Her other daughter, Mrs. H. H. Camp of Chanote, Kansas who was summoned here by her death, was unable to accompany the remains on account of sickness.
