I think there is a strong chance I am related to Honora, or more accurately to her late husband John. The Boston Pilot newspaper, published by the Archdiocese of Boston since the early 1800's, allowed immigrants to post messages to find relatives when they arrived in Boston. There is a posting on 21 June 1851 stating:

"Of JOHN and JEREMIAH FALVY, natives of co. Cork (not Kerry) parish of Innishannon - the former a laborer and the latter a ship carpenter. Jeremiah was in New Orleans 7 years ago (1844). Any information respecting them will be thankfully received by their brother , DENNIS FALVY, Washington, Massachusetts."

I have Dennis' birthdate around 1812.

In your travels have you come across any information on John or Jeremiah? Can you suggest where I might make inquiries like finding the marriage certificate for Honora and John or a death cert. for John and Jeremiah? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Jerry
