My second great-grandmother Marie Falvey (also listed as Mariah and Maria on different census records) was born in the late 1850's or early 1860's in New York. Her parents had emigrated from Ireland. Sadly, their names, and also those of her siblings are unknown to me. I found a picture of an elderly woman, "Aunt Charlotte," with my grandfather as an infant. This could possibly be the sister sister-in-law, or even a cousin of either Marie or her husband John J. Shaughnessy. He was born in the early 1850's in Ontario, Canada. His folks came from Ireland, too. The names of his parents and siblings are unknown to me, as well. He and Marie moved to Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., Iowa, where the two of them settled their family: Edward (also listed as Efrain on a census record, but a family photo confirms he's Edward), Anna, Frank, Clara, Nellie (she was listed as Mary E. on one census record; her other nickname was Noe) and Charlotte. Marie died prior to the 1920 census, and John died before the 1930 one. As far as I know, Anna and Clara never married. Edward and Frank's lives are unknown to me apart from their existances. Auntie Noe married Charles "Chas" Hubbard and had three known children: Charles William "Bill," Charlotte and Martha. Bill and his wife Emily lived in Montgomery, Montgomery Co., Alabama, where both of them died recently. Charlotte married Aage Edward Rodskiaer (born Aage Edvard Rodskjer in Vejle, Denmark) and had Aage Edward Jr., Falvey Francis and Nadine Antoinette. Aage divorced early, Falvey married Alice Lorraine Kaiser of rural Illinois and Nadine married Edmund Bretz of Chicago. Any help with the family would be helpful. Any ancestors, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. would be appreciated greatly.
