Classification: Query
Surnames: Fambro / Fambrough
I have started researching my mothers background and found that her family's name was orginally Fambrough in 1832-- in
Georgia. In _1880_ I found my great great grandfather
Mid Fambrough and Susan his wife born to them were Cassie,Bose,John,William, Mid,Zolly,Moses, and Jessie my grandfather. It seem as though they named their children after someone else in the family. In -1920- My uncle Bose and his wife Lilie had Aldolphus,Janna Mae, Iness, Fannie, Marcillous, Charlie,Robert,John Henry, and Samuel.
My great Uncle William had a son Will and that is about all I have been able to come up with. There is a possiblity that the orginal Fambrough were the slave owners that produced the black family of Fambro's/
Fambrough.
There are mulatto's in this family.
Please let me know if any of these names come up in your research. Good Luck and God Bless
