Pennie, I am still waiting for you to contact me thru e-mail as I requested in my first reply. I am going to need to ask you a lot of personal info that you might not want on the internet. I will need your parents' names, parents' date of birth, location of their births, and as much similar info that you have for your grandparents and others. This family often used the same names and more specific info may be needed to trace your line. For example, there are many named John and the internet shows errors where people have a spouse listed as married to the wrong John. I have this family back to the 1700s.

AguilarKL@aol.com

I have the Fankboner/Fangboner/Fanckboner family back to the early 1700's. There were three brothers who eventually settled in different parts of the country and that is how the spelling changed. The Fanckboners mainly ended up in Michigan. If you e-mail me, I will try and look up your specific line although it may take me a few days to get to it. AguilarKL@aol.com

Read your posting about the Idaho "Fankboners". My grandfather was Charles William Fanckboner (note the last name spelling), married to Edna Belsher. They lived in Boise, Idaho where they had their only child, my father Elbert Channing Fanckboner. My father and mother, Mary Shanahan Fanckboner, had 3 children: James, Pennie, and Michael. My father died in Boise in 2001 and mother and youngest brother Michael still live in Boise.
Just curious about the connection to your "Fankboner" side and the change in the spelling of the last name.
