My Grandfather by blood was Edward Lewis Fankhauser, his brother was Earl Fankhauser of Colorado Springs. Edward married Peggy Jaynes and had one son, Raymond Lewis Fankhauser, now called Raymond Lewis Stroup Sr, my father. Uncle Earl has traced our lineage back to Switzerland, where there is a Fankhauser Castle. From the story that we've uncovered it is a Romeo and Juliet style story that brought the brothers here originally.
