I believe your LUCINDA may be a sister to my SARAH ANN FANSLER. Until yesterday I was at a dead end with mine also, but on Gen Forum I found a posting for THOMAS FANSLER on the Fansler message board.
THOMAS FANSLER, b. ca 1805 NC, m. SARAH ANN ?
Ch: NANCY, ELIZABETH, MARY ANN, SUSANNA, LUCINDA, WILLIAM, SARAH ANN, AND THOMAS. Lived in Hamilton Co., IN after 1831 and maybe Marion Co. IN for a short time. 1856 in Black Hawk Co., IA, 1860 DeKalb Co. MO.
My Sarah married SAMUEL CLEVENGER in Daviess Co. MO (next door to DeKalb)and their first born son was named THOMAS. Sarah also listed on census records her parents as having been born in NC or PA. Her parents seemed to disappear. However because of the frequent moves, it is entirely possible that they moved to OK when the land was opened up for settlement here. I will check my FANSLER files, rather slim at this time, to see if I can find anything further on your Lucinda.
