Bonnie Singleton

CRAMERTON - Bonnie Louise Faries Singleton, 84, of 210 Lowell Ave., passed away Nov. 1, 2010, at Belaire Health Care Center, Gastonia.

She was born July 10, 1926, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Lewis Alexander Faries and Pearl Braswell Faries.

Mrs. Singleton was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will be dearly missed. She was a member of McAdenville United Methodist Church, she loved sewing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Bonnie worked for Burlington Industries of Cramerton and Homelite, Gastonia, where she was one of the first lead employees of the assembly line.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Olin Byrum III.

The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Mike and Glenda Singleton, 2211 South Lee St., Gastonia.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

She is survived by: sons and daughters in-law, Mike and Glenda Singleton of Gastonia, Steve and Ellen Singleton of Clover,SC; daughter and son in-law, Carolyn and Ronnie Jones of Gastonia; sisters and brothers in-law, Eunice and Charlie Philbeck of Shelby, Ann and Jean'Claude Blanchard of Char-lotte; grandchildren, Leslie Postell and husband Steve, Scott Jones and wife, Melanie, Michael Singleton and wife, Leighann, Rodney Singleton and fian-cée Jamie Gimber, Steve Singleton II; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: infant daughter, Kathy Elaine Singleton; sisters, Frances Bland, Nelda Rushing, Rachel Finch; brothers, Morris Farris, Jack Faries.
