Thomas Farish came from VA and eventually settled in Chatham Co NC in the early 1800s. He had a large family, several of whom, like he was, were merchants. Thomas and several of the family moved to Caswell Co NC where he died. A daughter married a Holt and became the mother of a governor of NC. Another daughter - my ancestor- married Robert Edwards Rives. Am interested in sharing info with descendants of Thomas Farish..
