John P. Farley b.abt.1822VA married Amanda K Ferguson b.abt.1829 on 14 Oct 1848 in Chesterfield Co VA. The family lived in Chesterfield 1850-1880. (Children follow) Then they simply disappear. There is no record of burial of any of the family in the “Gone but not Forgotten”, the burial transcription book of Chesterfield County nor the Chesterfield Death Records of 1882-1896 (with 1 exception). The 1900 Census of Chesterfield lists none of the males of the family (nor Females of unusual first name with correct birth date). The children were Lenora A. Farley b.1849, Marilla R. Farley b.abt.June.1850, Roberta Farley b.abt.1853, John T. Farley b.abt.1853 & d.bef.1870, George H. Farley b.abt.1855, Ella J. Farley b.abt.1856, Ida V. Farley b.abt.Mar.1860, Everett F. Farley b.abt.1861, William S Farley b.abt.1865, Carson Farley b.abt.1865 d. 12 Aug 1893, John Farley b&d.1870, Julius Farley b.1872. John P. Farley was a Farmer and was Civil War, Confederate, 5th VA Cavalry, Co K.
Amanda K Ferguson was the dau of Gardner Vaden Ferguson & Virginia "Verry" Anne Vaden of Chesterfield Co VA. I have extensive information on Amanda’s ancestry I am happy to share.
