Christopher, i have again been working on the family history and have some new info re: Farnans from Castlepollard-actually from Sheskernagh just north past Ballmanus,, east of Mullaghmene and south of lough Sheelin. A Matthew held 28 acres there alongside a Michael with 10 as listed in the 1826-1828 tithing Records of Castlepollard. Nearly certain this was the home of christopher, Mathew, William, Elizabeth, and Bridget who emigrated to Nodaway County arriving in 1854 with the Reading colony and Father James Powers. rfarnan1@me.com
