Hi Shirley,
Thank you for sending me the information on John Farnsworth and Hannah Dye (?). I believe these are the right family. The children are correct. I would appreciate your emailing me a copy of the family history on John Farnsworth of Washington County, if it's short. I've seen the book before, but wasn't researching Farnsworth at the time. Now I don't have access to the book.
I have been provided with information that eliminates Hannah Coleman as the mother of Margaret Ann Farnsworth.
John Farnsworth and Hannah Coleman's children were:
Deborah b. 1840, Louisa, Jasper b. 1846, Mary, b. 1848, David b. 1850 and Judah Ann.
John Farnsworth and Hannah (Possibly Dye) children were:
Nancy, Ruth, Mary, John C., William Henry, Martha J., Margaret A., Artlissa, Mahala and Marion. I have little doubt that Margaret named her daughter, Lucy Altisa, for her sister Artlissa. The spelling varies, but that depends upon who was doing the spelling at the time. I'll let you know if I find anything on your Martha J. Farnsworth.
Thanks for your help and good luck on your search.
