I have a number of charts on the branch of the Farquhars starting with George Farquhar and Janet Sinclair. I also have information on a James Farquhar who married Jean Bruce, and they had a daughter Margaret in 1718 in Wick. I also have another record showing that a George Farquhar married Christian Daeran on 11 Feb. 1752 in Wick.
However, I have not found any information so far thet would establish a connection from James to George to George. Have you been able to locate these records? I would be very interested in hearing from you, as this could extend my chart back two generations.
