If you are talking about James Farquhar oF Person County, N.C., his wife was definitely Sarah Lockhart, daughter of Samuel (not Col.) and Catherine. I have researched them since the 60's. Rick Herring wrote a book about James' line in 1991, and I have been informed he is in the process of having a new printing done. I also have Jim Ramsey's info, and while there may be some small mistakes, these two books are very helpful to a beginner off this line. James was born Approximately 1745 and appears in Orange Co.
