I am looking for the parents of William M. Graham who (according to 1880 and 1870 census) was born 1842 in Georgia. His parents are listed as born in South Carolina. He married my Great aunt, Mary J. Simpson, born 1849 SC, about 1870/1871. I cannot find William Graham anywhere in the 1860 census. In a book, "History of Old Pendleton District w/Genealogies of Lead Families" it states that Mary J. Simpson married William Graham of Mississippi. It further states they had children: Bessie, Bertie and Genella.

Graham, age 8, born MS, Bertie, age 2, born MS. I feel confident this is the correct family as next door to this family is R. Augustus Simpson (Mary’s brother) with his wife, Maggie J., son, William and son, Paul A.

1900 census of Hinds County, Bolton, Mississippi:
Bessie Graham, Head, W, F, Feb. 1873, Born Mississippi, Mother and Father born Georgia, David Graham, brother, W, M, Feb. 1883, born Mississippi, Mother & Father born Georgia.
Next to this family is T. O. Farr head, wife Birdie, age 21 Mother and Father born Georgia, son Oscar. I believe this to be Birdie (Bertie Graham).

1910 census of Hinds County, Bolton, Mississippi:
Dwelling #29: D. W. Graham, male age 27, married 2 years, Lillian, wife, age 23, and D. W. Graham, son age 3 months.
Dwelling #48: Oscar Farr, age 38, wife Bertie, age 27, Graham son age 10, and Malcolm son age 3.

1920 census of Hinds County, Bolton, Mississippi:
#248 Madison Street: David W. Graham, Head Male, age 36, born MS, Father born GA, Mother born SC, wife Lillian Female, age 31, David W. Jr., age 10, son Albert M, sone age 7, Bessie, sister age 46, single.
#247 Madison Street: Thomas Oscar Farr, Head Male, age 49, Birdie H., wife female age 40, Graham, son, age 19 and Malcolm, son, age 13.

Also, my grandfather’s name was William Graham Simpson born 1872, SC, and he was called Graham.
