ORPHAN BOY

Whose Adoption Was Mysterious, Dies in Oklahoma

Cincinnati, Feb. 10- After an absence of a year and
a half, James Farrel, an orphan boy, has been heard of.
It wasn't very pleasant news, either, that relatives,
inasmusch as they were notified of his death. James
and his brother Charles were left orphans at an early
age. They were placed in an orphan asylum. About a
year and a half ago the two boys were adopted into two
families who wished all knowledge of it kept from the
local relatives of the lads. The relatives, among whom
was John Reuss, who lives on Freeman Avenue, near Sixth,
tried to find out the names of the families. All trace
of them was lost until yesterday, when the police
received a telegram from an undertaker in Oklahoma to
hunt for the relatives of James Farrel who had died.
Reuss called at headquarters and said he would have
the body shipped here as soon as he was satisfied in
his own mind that the boy had really died.
