Jack,
I have Cloondara roots via my 2x great grandfather, George Farrell b. c. 1805-10 in Clondra(Cloondara). George moved to Croghan area, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. He married Bridget Higgins in Dec. 1838. 5 children resulted. Martin, b. 1839, Edward, 1841, Bridget, 1844, Patrick, 1846 and my great grandmother, Winifred, 1853. Martin, Edward and Winnie emigrated. Martin, unsure when and where he ended up. Edward in 1886 to NYC and Winifred in 1873 to NYC and then to Elizabeth, NJ where she settled and married my great grandfather, James Burns(Byrne) native of Ardee, Co. Louth. She died there in 1926. Edward died in 1916 in Bronx, NY and is buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery S. Newark, NJ. Winnie likewise. Looking for info on George but may have had a brothers James and John who went to Manchester, England and settled. George died c. 1865 in Elphin, Co. Roscommon. Patrick and Bridget married and remained in Roscommon. Patrick married Ellen Mulvey and Bridget, Michael Oates. Later names- Boyd associated with the Farrell's. George and Bridget Higgins Farrell lived in Lisadaly, Croghan, Co. Roscommon outside of Boyle. Any help or interest much appreciated. Thanks, Greg Burns Point Pleasant Beach, NJ
