Lee R. Farris, 69, of Grants Pass died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at his home of cancer.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors, with John Braund, pastor, officiating. Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.since1928hull.com

He was born Oct. 22, 1940, in Limestone, Ark., to Oral and Cassie Farris. He was raised in northern California and attended schools in both McKinleyville, Calif., and Arcata, Calif. On Feb. 12, 1967, in Reno, he married Linda Cook, who survives. In 1977, he moved to Grants Pass from Arcata. He worked in the wood products industry for most of his life and retired from Superior Lumber Co. in 2005.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Teresa Tolleson of Eureka, Calif., and Brandy Farris of Grants Pass; seven sisters; three brothers; his father, Oral Farris of McKinleyville, Calif.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
