Harold John Farris, 65, died Sunday morning, April 29, 2012, at his home in Belle
John was born July 18, 1946, in Washington to the late Harold Raymond and Lula Willis Farris. He was married to Denna Schuenemeyer, who preceded him in death, July 20, 1991. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and received the Purple Heart for his service. He worked as truck driver, a carpenter, a farmer, and laborer.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lee Farris and infant Mac James Farris.
Surviving him is a son Curt Cook of Nixa; three brothers, Tom Farris and wife Brenda, Howard Farris and wife Marsha, and Doug Farris and wife Diane all of Owensville; three sisters, Betty Hemmer of Memphis, Nancy Thee and husband Jesse of Ash Grove, and Catherine Hill of Conway; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today, May 2, at 11 a.m. from the Liberty Church of Christ in Belle. Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Sassmann Funeral Home in Belle.
