Mary & Peter Farron

On the LDS website I recently found record of a marriage in New York City in 1899 of Peter Farron and Mary McAuliffe Kelly. Her parents are stated to be James McAuliffe and Mary Cleary, making her my great grandfather's sister.I have sent for the marriage certificate, but in the meantime, does anyone know anything about this Peter Farron? Any info appreciated. John S
The marriage certificate confirms that Mary Kelly McAuliffe was my Great grand father's elder sister.Peter Farron was a son of John Farron & Margaret White of County Limerick. Peter and Mary were married at Trinity Episcopal in Manhattan and later lived in Clarkstown, NY where he was an Electrical Contractor. They had no children. Any info on these two would be much appreciated.

I, too, am searching a Faron line. In my search I have found a Joseph H. Faron born in 1877 to Owen Faron, the brother of my great-grandfather (Peter Faron), in Millbury MA. The problem is that he was not Canadian; his parents were Irish. They immigrated in the mid-1850s to Massachusetts. So this may not be the connection that you seek.

Ann

Farron, Berthe Augustine

I am trying to find information on my maternal grandmother, who, in life, was pretty quiet about her earlier times and family. She was born Berthe Augustine Farron on 20 February 1890 at Fontenay-le-Chateau, Lorraine, but then in German hands. She was educated locally and trained as an embroiderer, the local handicraft specialisation. In1908 she came to London, UK, and there married Pierre Francois Peulet. In the following year my mother was born but at about the same time Peulet died, cause and place unknown. My grandmother returned to France, married René Joseph Bertrin and settled in Bordeaux. There they spent the period of the First World War while Bertrin served in the French army. In 1919, or thereabouts, they all came to London and settled there. My grandmother died in 1969.
To judge from a number of pre-1914 photographs, she came of a largish family. She may have had a sister who also settled in north London, married a Spanish man and had two daughters, Carmen and Isobell. I do not think either of these latter had children but I am hoping that other siblings may have done so and would like to hear of them or of my step and real grandfathers.
The spelling of the Farron name is certain, and is shown in that form on birth and marriage certificates and on French government documents such as passports.
Looking for Joseph H. Faron and/or Albina Duquette Faron

Looking for any information on Joseph H. Faron B 1876 D 1961 and/or wife Albina (Mary) Faron B 1880 D1961
Birth & Death dates may not be completely accurate due to my mom's memory at the time. The last name of both grandparents seem to have different spellings. Faron is also Farron on some papers and Duquette is also Duecette. Both were from Canada. French was spoken in the home but not taught to my mother (she was second to the youngest). My grandfather's occupation in 1920 is listed as a boxmaker and their address is 3 Chestnut Ave., Lynn, Mass.
They had around 21-22 children, with some discrepancy among my mom's account & an aunt's (that I met once). Some of the children's names are: Rita D. Faron Harter B 1920 in Lynn, Mass D 2002 in New Mexico; Blanche Rosemary Faron Flurde B 1909 in Lynn, Mass D 1989 in Arizona; Mary Faron Cowen still lives in Florida with a daughter (to my knowledge). George Faron or Farron, Henry Faron (youngest and to my knowledge still living) and one very older brother my mom always talked about Joe Faron. Many of the children did not live to adulthood and one was missing in action during WWII. I really do not know anyone from my mom's side of the family but would believe there is many, many cousins. Please email any information to Zeh2you@aol.com Thank you.

I have Henrietta FIELDS who married a Mr. FARRONS (or FARRON). She was born in Missouri about 1907-1910. Her parents lived in Christian Co., MO and in Webb City, Jasper co, MO and her father worked in a mine. Maybe Henrietta married Mr. FARRON(S) in Missouri before she moved to CO. I have no other FARRON info. Here is her mother's obituary which was in the Joplin (Missouri) Globe, Sunday Oct 2, 1949: "Rites for Mrs. FIELDS to be held tomorrow. She was probably about 40 years old and living in Denver, Colorado in Oct 1949 when her mother died there but I don't know if her husband was there also. I wonder if you might find your FARRON in the Denver area. I have no other FARRON info.

The had abrother named Walter and a sister named
Marguerite. Their father was Joseph Farron.
Joseph's father and mother were Patrick and Margaret Farron of Simcoe County Ontario. Patrick had a sister
named Elizabeth who was a spinster, a brother named Bernard, A brother named James, a brother named Edward and
another sister named Ann who married Martin Delane. Some of Patrick's children were Agnes, Kate, Joseph,
Celia(Cecelia). I hope to hear from you. Please let me know either way. There are more Farrons. I just have to
pick my aunt's brain some more.
J. Coopman
Dear Lori,
Thank you so much for your note.I was so excited when I saw it.
There is a good possibility that they are one and the same family.
Here is what I know.
Patrick Farron ,son of Francis Farron, married Margaret Nolan
in 1865. They are buried in St. James Catholic Cemetery in
Colgan Ontario in Simcoe County. Their daughter Catharine Farron
was my grandmother. She had an aunt named Elizabeth, who left a
will in which she mentioned that my grandmother, along with her
family were living in Detroit. Elizabeth had a brother named Bernard
so the name is in the family. Ther was also a Frank Farron who lived
in California. My mom had an aunt who lived in Windsor. Her name was
Maggie Mangan. her husband was James Mangan Jr. There was a cousin who
lived on the detroit side of the river. Her name was Marguerite Farron.
My mom would be 87 years old now, so Marguerite would have been around
the same age I think.
From what I understand the Farron family came from Armagh, Northern Ireland.
Does any of this ring a bell. I hope so. I'll be waiting to hear from you.
Bye for now, Jane

Farron

I am also looking for information on the Farron family. My ggrandfather was Patrick Farron. The spelling of the last name is in question. On his gravestone it is Feron. His daughter, spelled it Farron on her marriage certificate. A brother of Patrick's, Francis, spelled it Faron.
Patrick was born in Ireland, in the county Armagh we think. He came to Canada and settled in Adjala township in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. He married Margaret Nolan in 1865. They had six children,I believe: Agnes, Minn, Celia, Catharine, Joseph and Francis. Patrick died in 1887 at the age of 51years. I don't know if there is any relation to your Farron, but it would be nice. I keep going in circles trying to fill in the missing pieces.
Let me know if anything sounds familiar. J.
