Hi, I am a Fascia and have done a lot of research on the family name.I can tell you their isn't a lot to go on.From what I have found the name fascie is the early spelling of the name fascia. From there the spelling of the name was altered, such as Fascio ,Fasciano,Fassio, etc.Supposedly the name originated from the town of Fascia in northern Italy.I do know that there are 3 distinct areas,in southern Italy where large numbers of Fascia's live. The major areas are around,Foggia,Rome, and Sesto campano(where my relatives are from).I was also part of the National Geographic Geneographic project, where genes are tested for ancient origins. My ancestry is of Norman decent, primarily Scandinavian. It is known that the normans invaded and conquered southern italy about 1000yrs ago.Thought that was interesting.
