Recent Dna testing has proved that the main Faulkenberry and Fortenberry lines descend from Lambert Van Valkenburg who came to America in 1642 from the Netherlands. I believe his grandson Hendrich and his sons are the ones that migrated to VA in 1730's and then to NC in 1740's.
