I have been trying to find you for quite some time. Thank you for your post.
I have exchanged information with Leonard Kocher whom said had shared information with you (re: Simon Nefzger family) in the past. His wife descends from Catherine and Frederick Hipp.

John Martin Fauser's stone is missing from his and Louisa's plot at Grandview. I took a picture last summer of the other stones next to what appeared to be a broken-off stone. If you have a picture of the original stone, I would love to have a copy.

I have a copy of Johann (John) Martin Fauser's birth, baptism, and confirmation records fro the Talheim, Wuerttemberg, Germany Evangelical church register records. I found most of them them on a FHLC microfilm. In several places it states his birth date as 01 June 1823. Probably was misinterpreted when he came over fro Germany and has been 1825 ever since. I have a contact in Grafenberg, Germany whom sent me the family register from the church which shows the entire family with birth dates, etc. I cannot explain why the censuses do not reflect his correct birth date.

I am glad that you have the naturalization information for Andrew Kunzi. I will correct my spelling (I have been waffling back and forth).

I am looking for census images for John Martin FAUSER. His name is probably listed as John FAUSER.
It is believed that he was born in 1825 and came from Wurtemberg, Germany in 1845. He settled first in Bucyrus, Ohio (Crawford Co?) until 1856. He then moved to West Union, Fayette Co., IA. He resided here until 1862; then moved to Albany, Fayette Co., IA (less than a hour away). He was married in Crawford Co., OH, in 1852, to Louisa Kunzi (also seen as KUNZE); she was born in Germany in 1828.
They had five children; Christiana (may be Christina), Eve K. (may be Eve Catherine-per gravestone found recently by me), Mary L., Martin A.(or Adolph Martin), and Simon (or Simeon); lost one---Rosetta, died in 1864.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think we could just about supply you with every cousin in aus. Don't know if they hve too much info going back, I have looked to but seem to draw a close overseas. Would love to talk more. I just started trying to research the family name. My great grandfather's name was Anton and my grandfather was Peter. My grandmother's maiden's name was Josephine Kuhn. His family came over from Germany around the turn of the century, George Pauline (Schiller) and resided at 711 E. 239th,NY,NY until around the 1920's when they moved to Cedar Run, NJ.I know that he had 3 brothers, George Jr., William, Jack sister Rose. Hi Jeannie,

Have been trying to tie some of the Fauser line
together. Noticed your message and a couple of
the names. It was a wonderful surprise. I have a letter
from a Christina Miller, (daughter of Johann
George Fauser and Barbara Seher). Christina indicates
that her brother-in-law Carl Fauser lived in
Lind, Washington.

I believe we are looking for the same line
Fauser's who I believe originated out of
Guldendorf, Odessa. My 1st great grandaunt
Barbara Seher married Johan George Fauser
in Guldendorf.

Barbara had a daughter Christina who married
a Miller. A letter from her indicated that she
had a brother-in-law, Carl Fauser who lived in
Lind, Washington.

Would like to hear from you. I prefer to use

I live in Michigan. My dads name was Joseph,
but his mother was from Germany and her name
was Frances Fauser.Her family in Germany were
in ( I think) the piano business.She had polio
a a child, and disappointed her family very
much when she married Walter Joseph, She had
16 children and lived in the Dexter and Chelsea
Mich. area. She died of cancer in 1963 so I

My son in law is Ray Doan. His Great Grandma is Pauline Fauser one of the Daughters of Ludwig Fauser who immigrated from Russia in 1908. She married Albert Doan in South Dakota. Searching for David Fosser, possibly Fauser!
He was born December 1, 1818 in Ohio. Died in 1899 in IN or IL State line counties.
It seems the family came from some where near France, if not french to southern Ohio. David F_____ then moved on to Owen Co. IN on March 9, 1846 where he married Almira Jane Scott. They lived near Vigo Co. IN or across the line into Vermillion or Edgar Co. Illinois.
Any chance you have any 3rd generation names in your records?

He lived in the Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan area and was a successful businessman. I know of two daughters: Elsie Fauser born 28 Jul 1896, died Jul 1975, married _______ Grenske. I am looking for the wife & mother of Johann Jacob Fauser, born 25 May 1864 in Nehren, Tubigen, Wurrtemberg, Germany. Married to a Christine ___________, born ca 1866, died ca 1851 according to tombstone. One daughter, Viola Fauser born ca 1893 (Detroit), died ca 1978 according to tombstone. Viola married a man named Mulhauser, no first name known. Father, mother and daughter buried together at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan.

Jacob J. Schmidt 1875-1939

Jacob J. Schmidt was born in Gildendorf, South Russia on November 29, 1875. He was the son of Jacob and Christina (Fauser) Schmidt.
In 1886 he came to this country with his parents and settled on a farm near Sutton, Fillmore County, Nebraska. On July 30, 1899 he married Christina Roth, and to this union six children were born, two preceded their father in death.

Remaining to cherish him in their hearts are his wife, Christina and the following children: Herman J. Schmidt of Sutton, Nebraska; Mrs. Amalie (Schmidt) Bayne of Giltner, Nebraska; William Schmidt and Mrs. Viola (Schmidt) Hunzeker of Sutton, Nebraska. He left four sisters, Mrs. Fred F. Trautman of Geneva, Nebraska; Mrs. Reinhold Hornbacker of Sutton, Nebraska; Mrs. George Lissman and Mrs. William Griess of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held at the Emmanuel Reform Church, Dr. Paul Traeger officated. He was buried in the Sutton Cemetery.

I live in Colorado. My Dad came to this country around 1908 or 1909. He was 5 or 6 years old. His Dad was Ludwig Fauser and mother was Katherine Fauser-Horner and they came from Odessa Russia. They settled in South Dakota.

the fauser names you give are familiar to me so could be ones you are looking for. The Carl Fauser I knew was married to Rebecca Schaal. both deceased. Their children are listed as Noreeta, Nadine, Gene and Marsha. So, yes. I can give you addresses of some of your relatives. My cousin's son was the Carl Fauser above. I am beginning to research my Fauser family roots. I am searching for information about Fausers of Wuerttenberg, Germany that came to the US in the late 1800s and settled in Pennsylvania either in the coal mining areas or in and around the city of Philadelphia.

My ancestors name is Frederick Fauser. Although I have descendant info, I have no information on his spouse, siblings or parents.

If anyone thinks they may have a connection here, I would appreciate the information.
