Hienrich Faber was born in the Alsace-Lorraine region of France in 1720 or 1721. The language spoken there was Alsatian, a Low Alemannic German dialect. He immigrated to Colonial America in 1749 and settled in New Jersey. His son George fought in the American Revolution. George was born 18 Jun 1752 in Gloucester, , NJ, and died 30 Apr 1836 in Eaton, Loraine, Ohio. He was buried in Butternut Ridge, Eaton, Loraine, Ohio.
