Dear Aunt & Uncle,
I know that you think that I have forgot to write any more. I often think that I will write and just that often I have neglected it, but I think of you all the same and want to see you and yesterday seem like that you was on my mind all day. So I thought that I would write this morning the first thing that I done this leave all tolerable well hope that it will find you all well.
There is lots of sickness in this country. Mostly Lagrippe. It is very dry here not much rain in three months the farmers are behind with their work on account of it being too dry to plough. Sam [son, age 10] and I have moved back to Jack County.
We are living close to my daughter so that I can go any time I want to see her. She has seven girls - two married and five at home. They are lots of company to me.
Aunt Jane I know nothing of any of the connercion [connection?]. I will send you a piece that I clipped of the Dallas News some time ago, the death of G.N. Thompson. I know it must be Uncle Gid he was with some grandchildren somewhere in that country the last I heard of him. His first wife had been dead many years. He only had two children. A sone and daughter but I have lost sight of them.
I have not wrote to Aunt Puss, but think I will.
I have a half sister living in Alabama on Papa's old place. I get letters from her.
Aunt Jane are you able to do your work. I am stolit for my age will soon be 64 years old. [1845] I am poor financially work for my living but the Lord is with me. While I have my share of trials and troubles he is my helper. So I will close with love to all hoping to hear from you soon.
As ever your niece,
Fannie Faver
