My Husband's Grandmother was Cora Favourite she was born about 1878 in Ohio and married Cryus B Gordon from Ohio. Have you run across a Cora Favourite? I cannot find in information on her in Ohio.

Maggie's brother also married a FAVORITE, the sibling sister of George Thomas FAVORITE. I have added many more to
my complete FAVORITE database and still working on it. I have the FAVORITE family reunion register for 1917-1939 and there are many names in the address list yet to figure out how they connect. What is clear is that is that both descendants of Joseph Favorite b. 1794 (wife1 Ellen LONG. wife2 Mary MYERS) and John FAVORITE b. 1799 (wife1 Rebecca ISGRIGG , wife2 Mary "Polly" FAVORITE) are listed.

I have been working on the FAVORITE descendants of Joseph b. 1794 and John b. 1799. This John FAVORITE married second to Mary "Polly" FAVORITE" b. 1822, the daughter of Joseph FAVORITE b. 1794 and Ellen Long. I descend from John FAVORITE b. 1799 and his first wife Rebecca ISGRIGG. The family story is that John b. 1799 married second to his first cousin Polly FAVORITE b 1822. For that to be true John b. 1799 would have to be the son of an older brother of Joseph b. 1794. This is surely possible, another conclusion would be that he married his niece which would not have been likely to be approved of by family. These 2 families are definitely connected before the marriage of John and Polly. I have reunion register for 1917-1939 and the names listed in the address section and in the yearly minutes are name from both lines. I many more in the address list to figure out how they connect. For example, there is a Daniel and Pauline POORMAN listed with a grandaughter Naomi WINES from Williams Co OH. I have figured out the POORMAN and WINES and how they connect but can not find a connection to the FAVORITE family.

March 20, 1894 "News", Frederick County, Maryland: "Mrs. Eleanore Favourite, wife of Jefferson Favourite, died at her home in Emmitsburg yesterday at 2 p.m. of dropsy. She leaves a husband, five sons and two daughters. Her funeral will take place Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic church."
