I'm so happy you replied. Louis' uncle Walter was my g-g-g grandfather. The information I have for Louis (who in some records I found as James Louis and in other records I found as Louis James) and Elizabeth (I'll refer to her as she preferred) come from a marriage record I found on the NEGHS website. If you check out their vital records you can find the marriage record under Vol. 513 Page 571. I'd attach a copy but when you download them you can't get a close up enough look without the image becoming blurry.
Anyway, here is the information about Elizabeth from that record. First off they were married on 02/16/1901 in Somerville MA. Elizabeth is listed as age 20 - which is where I came up with an approx. date of 1881 but seeing that they got married early in the year it is more likely that she was born in 1880. She is listed as having been born in Bathurst NB and her parents are listed as Cyril Barton and Phoebe Cummings.
For Louis I've not yet located his birth record but per the marriage record and some census records I've been able to tie him to his parents John Fay and Catherine Kiley who are in my tree. John was a brother of Walter Fay who as I mentioned above was my g-g-g grandfather.
From some pre 1915 birth records on NEGHS and the 1910 census on Ancestry I've been able to note the following children of Louis and Elizabeth.
Kathaleen Fay 7/27/1901
Arthur Louis Fay 11/08/1902
Herbert Fay 2/14/1905 - 5/15/1906
Eileen Marie Fay 7/17/1907
Richard Warren Fay 10/21/1909
Earl Fay 8/20/1911
Marion Elizabeth Fay 03/7/1914
The state of MA has only release birth records through 1915 so if there are other younger children I haven't been able to source them - I'm also having a hard time finding the 1920 census record for this family.
However in the 1930 census I was able to find an Elizabeth M Fay (widowed) with Arthur, Earl, Marion and Joseph W living in Boston MA. This Joseph W must be your father. The census record gives an est. date of birth of 1917.
