Earl Vincent "OGP" Feagans
Earl Vincent "OGP" Feagans, 79, of Covington, died September 14, 2006, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle. A native of Jackson, MO, he was the son of the late Stanton Estill and Mary Elizabeth Farrell Feagans. A member of Alcoholics Anonymous, he had celebrated his 41st sobriety anniversary this year, and was on the North Dakota Ethics Board. Mr. Feagans was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, was a licensed pilot and loved flying. He had touched many lives as a drug and alcohol addiction counselor, and will be deeply missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl and Kenneth Garrigus of Covington, Michelle Feagans of Warrensburg, MO; sons, John Smith of California and Earl L. Feagans of Warrensburg, MO; grandchildren, Kathleen Smith, Andrew and Kim Garrigus, Kenna and Billy White; great-grandchildren, Drew Garrigus, Ethan Garrigus, Kaylin Smith; and his best friend and companion, Sam.
A funeral service for Mr. Feagans will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 17, 2006, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, with Tom Dews, officiating. Flowers are acceptable or donations in memory of Mr. Feagans may be made to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, Gift Processing Department, 1687 Tullie Circle, NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3 PM.
