just like every one else searching for the origins of surname "FEBUS", I am also a FEBUS from my DAD's side.I stumbled upon a website"sephardic haplogroup profile in the
New World".I have finally found what I was looking for.FEBUS
is a surname of jewish origin. Most jews lived in the Iberian
peninsula in Spain since a couple hundred years before CHRIST.Could be from the tribe Juda .The jews from Spain are called sephardic jews. Most people of Spanish descent have jewish or arab(middle east) ancestry. These are called
"conversos" because they forced to convert to the catholic
religion.the Febuses came to the new world after spanish expultion of the jews in the 1400's.DNA testing was done
that proved the jewish and north Afican(muslim /arab)genes.
The surname FEIBUS,FEIBUSH and other spellings found in europe countries like poland, germany(were thre is a
jewish large cmmunity. They probably originated from iberia Spain.SO THERE YOU HAVE IT.
