Classification: Query
Surnames: Fechner
C.F. Fechner 1836 1929 buried at rear lot of Oak Hill city cemetery in Griffin Ga. grave has a Southern Cross of Honor

Dates on his marker are 1836 / 1929

There are others in the family plot with him.

The following are those who also fought for the Confederacy during the WBTS.

The Charles R. below may actually be the above, sometimes when records are transcribed a F becomes an R or visa versa, OR

C.F. buried in Griffin GA was with a local defense group or home guard and would not be in the main Confederate listing.

Fechner, Charles R. 3rd Regiment, Alabama Infantry

Fechner, H. Timmon's Regiment, Texas Infantry

Fechner, H. Waul's Texas Legion

NOTE: I am NOT a family member NOR am I doing research on this family, the only reason I have posted this is as I was driving tru the cemetery I felt impressed to visit his grave since I do Confederate research and felt there may be descendants that may be looking for him and family members. I can if requested go back to the cemetery and record and post here the other names if requested.
