Of course!
Our bunch: Anna (Magdalena) Federico, married Pietro Concilio in Italy, and both moved from Scafati to Derby CT in 1911. I believe that Anna's father was named Luigi, and her mother may have been Ruby, but that's more a doubtful family recollection. Anna had several siblings, one brother of whom they stayed with when newly arrived in Derby. I have a few tentative names of the siblings, if that would help...

This is what I know at this point: Nicholas Federico b. about 1870, married Raffie b. about 1872, in Italy. Their son, Frank Federico, is my grandfather - died early (1914-1953). Born in Italy, but possibly raised in Valhalla, NY. His brothers were Tony, Louie, Joe and Sammy.

Do you have any information you could share?

Hi Martha,

It is nice hearing from you. I am the wife of Ricardo Sotura Jr. I have been in touch with Rebecca a few years ago, and we were going to get together, but somehow we never did. I was able to pull up Rebecca's picture on Facebook and my husband and I agree that she looks a lot like Yolanda, my husband's older sister. My husband saw your picture and he said that you look like his Aunt Lupe. Before Lupe died, we used to go and visit them in Torrance, and that is when I met Walter & Jimmy. We should meet for dinner sometime and my husband's sister, Yolanda would like to join us. Let me know what you think.

Warmest regards,
Joanne Sotura

His grandmother is Mercedes Federico, and we are not too sure where her extended family is from. In the past, we heard Spain, Germany and not sure if Italy.
Hi Joanne
I'm Marta Sotura Basile ... daughter of Humberto Federico Sotura who passed away in 1997 ... Ricardo was my dad's brother. I didn't know my uncle Ricardo & aunt Bessie very well as they lived in the San Fernando valley & we live in San Diego. I did see my aunt Lupe often, especially when she lived in Torrance. She was the oldest of the 7 siblings & kept the family together.
Kinda cute to read the name Humby. Only my dad's family called him Humby ... everyone else called him Beto.
My grandmother, Mercedes, lived with aunt Lupe in Torrance until she passed away circa 1965 (I was in High School at the time). My aunt Lupe was married to James Fulps (uncle Jimmy) & their children's names are Walter, James, and Norma (my cousins). Walter lives in Missouri, and is a treasure trove of information regarding the Sotura family. I see him every couple of years when he visits and we email almost daily.
By the way, I was at my aunt Lupe's wake with my mother and daughter. Unfortunately, we got lost the following morning & didn't find the church until the ceremony was over and then drove to the cemetery but everyone had left.

He was on the boat with Francesco Frederico who was 34 yrs old and his son Salvatore Federico was was 17 yrs old. Their destination was Boston, MA. I believe he has a brother Michael who was living in Boston at the time. My grandmother was a Ventresca.

Hello Cheryl,

It is very possible that we are distant cousins. My maiden name is Allena Federico. My father, Anthony L. Federico was born and raised in Dedham, Massachutsetts. His parents, Antonio Lorenzo Federico and Teresa Marinucci both immigrated from Sulmona, Italy as children. Initially when my great-grandfather immigrated here, his name was registered as "Frederico." It was not until my father was born that the name was corrected to Federico on his birth certificate. I still have an uncle in the Boston area, but the rest of our family now resides in Southern, CA.

My great grandmother Mary Josephine was born July 28,1878, I believe in New York. She went by Josephine mainly. She married Salvatore Vallone in1894 in Illinois, probably in or around Chicago. They had several children:Thomas,Lucy, Anthony, Salvatore(Sam),Larry,Michael Anthony(Mickey), Frank, and Joe. Mickey was my grandfather born in 1911. He married Dorothy Mabel Hanlon in 1950.

Debbie I am looking for Francesco Federico too. He was my great grandfather. I haven't got many information yet, I only know that he was married with Filomena Emilia Andreotti. They had a doughter called Ursula Federico. I guess she was born about 1900.
They lived somewhere in Italy. Ursula came to Argentina about 1920 with her husband.

It sounds familiar to you?

Best regards!

Just a friendly note:

in the future, please enter ALL the information that you have. I saw the following message AFTER I spent quite some time looking for your family all over the US:

This would have saved me a lot of time:

_ 1 Flevia`s maiden name was Barbera.
_ 2 They were both from Italy
_ 3 Flevia had a brother Michael.
_ 4 Frank,Anna were living in San Francisco California in 1930

Michael Barbera , living with them in 1920 & 1930 would have been easy to find.
I did not know the parents were born in Italy, and she was in San Francisco in 1930.

I don't intend to be rude - but, please, remember that next time.
