Florence B. Miazga Feeney, "Flo", 88, of Erie, died peacefully August 3, 2012, surrounded by her boys at UPMC Hamot after a brief illness. She was born March 12, 1924, the daughter of the late Ezram Miazga and Victoria Santor Miazga. Florence was graduate of East High School. She was retired from Robert Halls and K-Mart. She took over the duty of the official family gift thrower at Christmas after the death of her husband, Donald Edward Feeney in 1999. She enjoyed making pierogies for the Zabawa Festival at Holy Trinity Church, cooking traditional Polish foods, summers at Dunroamin Cottage in Canadohta Lake, knitting pot holders, playing penny poker, and sitting on her front porch feeding the birds. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by her brothers, Edward, Norbert and Richard Miazga, and her sisters, Irene Turbaczewski and MaryAnn Tucceri. She is survived by four sons, Don and his wife, Debbie, of Waterford, Dick and his wife, Nancy, of McKean, Larry and his wife, Jane, of Erie, and Jim and his wife, Darlene, of Erie. "Nanny" is survived by eleven grandchildren which she adored, Donnie and his wife, Carol, Chris and his wife, Kris, Colin, Dickie, Timmy, Bill and his wife, Rose, Nate, Betsy, Katie, Matt, and Leanna; and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jacob. "Aunt Susie" is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Jerry Ames. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Church, East 22nd and Reed St. in Erie, Monday, August 6, 2012, at 10 a.m. Private burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family graciously requests that memorials be made to Zabawa Polish Festival 2012, 2220 Reed St., Erie, PA 16503. The Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home Inc., 2101 Ash St. is handling arrangements.
