My George Fehl was born in Germany and came to St. Louis as a kid. He eventually became a tobacconist. After serving in the civil war he came back to St. Louis and started a cigar manufacturing business of his own. HIs famous Blue Ribbon brand of cigars won him over 26 diplomas and 4 silver medals.HIs parents were Nicholas and Elizabeth Fehl ( she may have been a Hoell). the root of tobacco makes me wonder if there isn't a relationship
