Hi. I'm actually one more generation removed than you, I think, because my dad just turned 48. I'm actually only 18, just started my first year of college, but I've been extremely interested in my family's genealogy since I was about 15.
Also, I'm writing below the names and dates of the rest of Josephine and Charles's brothers and sisters. There were quite a few. I don't think Cambria's that close to Philly, it's actually a lot closer to Pittsburgh. I mean, it's still not that far, but it'd be a couple of hours drive. Also, there's a great site on the Cambria Co. genealogy board that gives the names and dates of many in the family. It's the listings from the cemetary they're buried in. Michael's buried there along with several other Farabaughs. http://www.rootsweb.com/~pacambri/cems/BarStNicholas01.html
And here's the list of Michael's children:
Michael m. Maria Anna Stumpp 8 May 1837
children: (all born in Kappel Am Phein)
(1) Karl (Charles) Fehrenbacher b. 24 Jan 1834 d. 29 Nov 1909 in Spangler, Cambria, PA
(2) Bernhard b. 16 Aug 1835 d. UNKNOWN
(3) Thereisa b. 11 Oct 1837 d. 6 Apr 1839 in Kappel Am Rhein
(4) Josephine b. 12 Aug 1839 d. 3 Aug 1901 in Park Rapids, Hubbard, Minnesota
(5) Anselm b. 18 Apr 1841 d. UNKNOWN
(6) Emma b. 19 Jun 1843 d. UNKNOWN
(7) Reinhard b. 21 Mar 1845 d. UNKNOWN
(8) Martha (Bertha) b. 26 Feb 1847 d. UNKNOWN
(9)Leonard b. 4 Nov 1848 d. UNKNOWN
(10)Anna Maria b. 28 Aug 1850 d. 11 Feb 1851 in Kappel Am Rhein
Then in Michael's second marriage, he had more kids:
Michael m. Gertrud Hoog 27 Mar 1851
( she was born abt 1820 in Ringsheim, Baden)
I think the dates I have for at least two of the kids are wrong, unless he was seeing her on the side while he was married to his first wife. Anyway, I'll give you the dates just in case.
children: (all born in Kappel Am Rhein)
Frederick b. abt 1848 d. UNKNOWN
August b. 12 Nov 1841 d. UNKNOWN
Martin b. 12 Nov 1851 d. UNKNOWN
As you can see though, Josephine had an extremely large family. On a somewhat different note, I noticed that there are REGER's in the cemetary as well. I'm assuming that she married before she moved to Minnesota, so that would make sense.
If you go to the home page, there are other cemetary listings available and many other Farabaugh's in them. That's the other thing. Both Michael and his brother Augustin, changed their last names to Farabaugh once they came to the US. I'm not really very certain as to why that is, but because of that, it's a fairly unique name and the only people who hold it are descended from them.
Okay, well I have to get going, I'll talk to you later! I hope this information helped!
