Mr. Miller....I am not sure where the old home place is located...I have talked to relatives that have been to Germany and the old home place is still occupied with Fehrenbacher family members....as for the castle..the only thing that I can think of is that one of the relatives was a Stag Hunter for Von Furstenburg and lived in or near the castle..which there is a picture of in a book on Germany....most of the family comes from Hochenning (sp) or Schweninning (sp) near the Black Forest.the area is close to the south end of the country..some come from the area of Trier (sp)...I still have a cousin living that is a son of my Grandfathers brother that is a retired headmaster at one of the schools in the northern part of Germany....I have alot of papers from the old country...but the language it is written in is the old old German...the language has changed about 3 times over time and most modern words are not the same as the old written ones...so it makes it hard to translate as hardly anyone is alive that knows the old language...that is about all I can tell you at this point without digging out all the papers...there were 2 brothers that came over from Germany...and settled in Kansas..this is where the Kansas Lineage comes from...the rest settled in Illinois or up in the northern part of the US....so let me know if I can be of anymore help...thanks
