Hi Jayme!

I have only one piece of information relating to the Feiertag name. thast is my husbands great grandfather's wedding license. On this is listed his wife as Juliana Feiertag. Vitus Kreinbucher married her on July 30, 1904. Vitus was from Germany and I cannot get info on himbecause he was orphaned. I am attempting to find the Feiertag side who may have info on Vitus (as a son-in-law, sister- in- law or , brother -in-law)for me.

If you have any luck please write. You may wish to contact this person, Howard Feiertag @ howardf@vt.edu. I came across this name as I was doing the search. I wrote to him but he never wrote back. He is an instructor at Michigan State Univ. Maybe he was just too busy or not interested. Try again. Good Luck!

I have no clue if your still using this post.. i just happened to come across it looking for my webpages to see if any of them came up with the Meta Tags yet. but anyways. On to what Your Last Name means. Feirn means the verb "to celebrate." Oddly enough Feirn and Feier are some how in the same. but you never use feier alone. now the next word "tag" means day. fairly original. Like Guten tag.. meaning Good day. or hello in english. When people in german say Feiertag they are saying "day of celebration" Wir haben eine Feiertag. Feiertag is not to be confused with Fritag. wich means Friday. I hope this helps you out a little. i'm a little rusty on my german. but i hope that helped you a little in knowing what yours and my last name means. have a great day!

At what time period would your Charles have been born? Thanking you in advance.
Nichole
