My name is Ilya Fine ( Fein). I immigrated to Israel from the former Soviet Unit at 1979. My grandfather, Berish Fien was born in Poland ( near Lodz). His father's name was Isaak. At 1-th world war he was taken into the Tzar army to Russia and left all his family in Poland. We don't know what happended to his family during the 2-nd world war, but most likely they have been killed by Germans
