My name is Ilya Fine ( Fein). I immigrated to Israel from the former Soviet Unit at 1979. My grandfather, Berish Fien was born in Poland ( near Lodz). His father's name was Isaak. At 1-th world war he was taken into the Tzar army to Russia and left all his family in Poland. We don't know what happended to his family during the 2-nd world war, but most likely they have been killed by Germans

Ilya

My g-grandfather, Elihu Wolfe Fein, came over from Lithuania in 1882, when he was 12. I'm not sure of his parents' names, perhaps they were Itta and Yehuda, and he might have had a brother named Samuel. Do you have any info for these?

Thanks!

My father, Heinz Georg Fein, was born in Wriezen an/der/oder, specifically Herzhorn, in 05/23/1937. Parents are Georg Fein and Erna Hedwig Fein, maiden name Broers. Georg was born in Byten, Perekop district in Crimea, Russia, and Erna born 11/30/1916 in Landsberg, Germany. Georg died in WWII in Bogoroditschnoje, Russia 07/18/1943. Georg had 1 brother Albert who also died in WWII and 2 sisters Emma and Lydia. Georg's profession was master of shoemaking. Georg's parents are Heinrich Fein born 01/13/1878 in Russia and Charlotte Fein, born Seibel. They lived in the perekop district of Crimea and immigrated to Germany near Berlin around 1917. My father was raised by Charlotte, his grandmother, who maintains they were wealthy landowners in Russia around the Black Sea area. My father moved to California with his mother and step-father when he was about 8 years old, around the Berkley area. Not much else is known. So if anyone can add to this please e-mail back.

His parents were Louis G. and Regina FEIN of Fein Place, Westwood, Hamilton County, Ohio. I would appreciate any information on his family (especially his mother Regina) and a copy of the obituary on Edward who died in an auto accident. Thank you.

My husband's grandmother was Lena Fein. She came to New York in 1908 from Lithuania. We have very little information on her. Think she was born about 1892 in Vilnus. We found a shred of paper with Louis Fein and Herman Fein with Bronx addresses. We believe they may be brothers of Lena. She evidently married Hyman Breen after she arrived in New York. They had two daughters Sylvia and Elizabeth while living in the Bronx. Hope you can shed some light on parents and other members of the family

He was born in Poland and after the war he never found out what happened to his family, a total of 12 brothers and one sister. His name was Edward, (Eddick) Fein, he married my mother in Germany during the war. He passed away 30 years ago. Maybe there is some one out there that my be part of his family.

Thank you,
Miriam (Fein) Lewis

Looking for Fein families from Russia. My g-g-grandmother was Anna Fein from Huck, Saratov, Russia, married to Phillip Koch. Both were born, lived and died in Huck. I think she died about 1892 or 1893.

Their daughter, Margaret, married Phillip Wagner of Kutter on Feb. 9, 1888. They came to the U.S. in 1893, but no other members of the Fein family came over. Contact with all Russian relatives ended in the 1930's, and it is assumed most relatives starved to death.

Howdy! Did your grandfather ever live in Kansas City, MO? I'm trying to find my dad's father's family. I don't know the name of my great grandfather, but here are the names of his brothers and sister: Rubin (my grandfather), Isadore, Sam, Adolph, Daniel, and Ida. Mother's name was Minnie. They were from Minsk in Russia. Have found records of 4 people who immigrated from Stabzy in 1908. The main name for Stabzy is Stolbsty. There was a Mirke Fein, 42 F, a Gedale Fein, M 10, a Rune Fein, M 8, and a Daniel Fein, aged 6. My uncle Harold said this could possibly be some of the family. Would be wonderful if our Daniels were the same. - Karen
