My husband was Robert Harry Feinberg, born May 4th 1934 and died August 15th 2006. His father was Harry Feinberg (Hirsch) who came from Russia. On the declaration of intent document it was always difficult to understand the spelling of Skirstemon. For many years, we thought it was Skirstermon. I remember Bob mentioning a cousin Samuel who was a Dr. at Northwestern. Somehow, Samuel is related to my husband's father. I have discovered that Harry's father's name was Mosen and his mother was Lilah (Shesefsky). Harry had two brothers who proceeded him to America by the names of Max and Louie. Harry was born March 25, 1893 and came to the U.S. around 1912 through the port at Baltimore. I am very interested in the village of Skirstemon and if there are any relatives still living there.
