Classification: Query
Surnames: Feinberg Vilner
My mother's brother, Abraham Feinberg, became estranged from the family while living in the Bronx, NY during the two years between his WWI draft reg. in 1918 and the 1920 census. I've had no luck tracing him.
He was born about 1887 in Wisoke-Litovsk, Russia/Poland (now Vysokoye, Belarus) and came to NY with my grandmother in Feb. 1902. He worked at various times as a painter and a driver and possibly a tinsmith.
My grandparents were Samuel Feinberg and Jean Frances (Fannie) Vilner/Willner. The Feinberg name was taken after arrival in NY. The original name was Dajbog/ Daibach, but I wouldn't necessarily expect descendants to know that.
If anyone is descended from an Abe Feinberg who fits those facts, I'd love to hear from you.
