My married name is Gadbury that is my husbands family name. But Sharon is my grandmother and her son Robert is my father. So it definitely seems that are families tie in together. I am just starting my search for this branch of my family so I have very little to go on.
Thank you, Katherin Sager Gadbury

Interesting! I think we're talking about the same Kaye! My husband's aunt Kaye (Katherine Asatinsky) married Julius Friedman. Their daughter Sharon married Albert Sager! That's a match on too many names to be a coincidence! I'm not familiar with the name Gadbury so perhaps you can fill me in.
I believe that Harry, Pauline and all but one of their children immigrated to the U.S. in 1921. The only child that was born in the U.S. was the youngest, my mother in law Ruth Asatinsky. She married Arnold Taylor and their youngest son Mark is my husband!

I was talking to my brothers about the F einstein Kirby family to see what they remember . Mr Feinstein sold cars to Britian during WW11. He also has sued both the A&P store and the railroad. Marylyn went to college at either Michigan State or the Univercity of Michigan. Carl and Steven went to Rutgers Newark. I Carl was All City in Baseball at Baringer High School Newark. If we think of anything else I will let you know. Pat

Feinstein.Gertrude Kallor age 92, born ,in Kingston, N.Y. to Isaac and Jenny Feinstein

Gertrude Kallor age 92,
a resident of Millcreek Manor in Erie, Pa.,
formerly of Hartsdale, N.Y.,
passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Gertrude was born on April 28, 1919 in Kingston, N.Y. to Isaac and Jenny Feinstein and was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with honors, and worked as a bookkeeper and stenographer. She married her true love, Sol Kallor in 1941, and they were married for 45 years. Gert raised two sons and returned to the work place after they graduated from high school, working as an office manager for Orlofsky Real Estate, until retiring at the age of 75. Recognized as the Matriarch of the Kallor family, Gertrude was beloved by not only her own children and grandchildren, but many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her passing marks the last of her generation for the Kallor and Feinstein families. An avid sports fan, she loved her Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Mets and other New York teams. She especially reveled in her grandchildren's achievements. (There was no one like her grandchildren). She was an avid crossword puzzle and cryptogram solver, as well as a terrific card and mahjongg player, and she'll be missed by her many friends at the Greenburgh, NY Senior Center in Hartsdale, N.Y. In addition to her parents, Gert was preceded in death by her sisters Sylvia, Netty and Marilyn, her brother Seymour, her husband Sol, five brothers-in-law and their wives, and her son Jeffrey Lyle. Survivors include her son Jay and his wife Diane of Erie, Pa., her grandchildren Jonathan (Shayna) of New Hope, Minn., and Amber of Brooklyn, N.Y. Memorials may be made to Temple Anshe Hesed, 930 Liberty Street, Erie, PA 16502, the Millcreek Manor Activity Fund, 5515 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16509 or to a charity of one's choice . The family extends special thanks to the loving caregivers at the Millcreek Manor, who went above and beyond to make her stay there as pleasant as possible. Services and burial will take place at Wellwood Cemetery, Pinelawn, New York. Local arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, 602 West 10th Street.
( the Erie Times-News on December 4, 2011 )

Strangly enough, my mother was born and raised in South Africa, as was my grandmother. My grandmother, Fay Garber (originally Rose), mother was from Russia and she was a Feinstein. In other words my great-grandmother was Gertie Feinstein and according to my grandmother Gertie had a brother named Sam. Supposedly we are also related to Rav Moshe Feinstein. If you are interested please don't hesitate to contact us.
my e-mail is jackieolemeberg@ymail.com and my grandmother is faygarber@gmail.com

I am searching this family in hopes of locating half-siblings that I just found out about. Please email me amfontecchio@hotmail.com so I can provide you with more info. Are you a relative?

Hello, Phyllis. This is from my mother, Esther Sackheim.

I had Schmulenson relatives living in Tulchin, which is near Breslov. My mother was born in Tulchin in 1886. She had Schmulenson cousins, but I don't have any first names for them and I don't know where they moved. Do you know what your Schmulensons did for a living in Europe? What were their first names? What other families are you related to? I do know of Dr. Harold Schmulenson and your cousins in the east who passed away. Did you have relatives who lived near Chicago, possibly in Indiana? Thanks for any help you may offer.

Esther

Here is the message again:

I am helping Harry Boonin (writer for books of Philadelphia Jewish community) with trying to find information on Pensi
Schmulenson who came over in 1907 to his brother H. Schmulenson of 404 Noble St. I see also a listing for another brother, Schmul Schmulenson who came over in 1905 to the same address. The most likely possibility that I saw for Pensi(?) Schmulenson was a Philip Schmulenson who settled in the Indiana-Chicago Ill area with wife Sarah and
3 children: Ida, Pearl and Nathan.

Are you descended from the Hayman/Herman/Ivan (saw all these variations) who lived in Phila and lived in Auburn NY area? Wife was Sarah and children were Elizabeth and Nathan.
