I am trying to find information on a Rosina Feist (born about 1825) who married Louis Merchant in 1855 in Baldwin County, Alabama. She was born in Germany, he was born in Switzerland. She had two sons born in Baden (Bardan?), Germany by a previous marriage: John T born 1849 and Ellis (Ellice, Aloiz) born 1847.

I am assuming Feist was her first husband's name. If that is so, then John T Feist later took his stepfather's name (Merchant). John T is my great-great-grandfather.
